Seals Spring Season Overview

  • Birth Year 2012 - 2006 for the 2019 Season
  • Registration Base Fee - $520 (not including uniforms & league registration fee)
  • Season runs form mid February to mid July
  • Practice 2 times per week
  • 1 game every Saturday in Pasadena
  • Both boys and girls play on the same teams. Girls can play one calendar year down.

The Seals Spring Season is our primary season for the Seals. This season and level of play is a perfect step up from AYSO/Recreational soccer to more competitive/club soccer. If your child has a passion for the game and is looking to take his/her development to the next level, the Seals Spring Season is a great place to be.

In the spring, the Seals compete in the Villa Park Youth Soccer League. All the games take place in Pasadena on Saturdays for the duration of the season. All players must register with the Seals through the website, and with the league through the city website. Please be sure to contact Shane before registering with the league to ensure there is space on the roster.

Villa Park League Registration
The cost of league registration is $90 ($70 for Early Registration). You will need to have your child take a picture for his/her player ID card at some point in person at the community center. The league will also need official proof of birth. Registration dates will be available when they are published. Be sure to register for the correct Division and Seals Team when registering, based on birth year. Divisions are listed below:

  • 2011 - 2012 = 6th Division
  • 2009 - 2010 = 5th Division
  • 2007 - 2008 = 4th Division
  • 2005 - 2006 = 3rd Division

Register in person at: Villa Park Community Center, 363 E. Villa Street Pasadena 91101. You will need to register on Thursday or Friday 4:30pm-7pm, Saturday 9am-1pm.

Seals Registration
Seals registration will open online at, at the same time as the Villa Park League Registration. Simply select the "Register Now" button on the left of the homepage and follow the directions to register. The cost of Seals Registration varies by division, and does not include the cost of uniforms and league registion ($90 mentioned above). Divisions are listed below, and are based on birth year. At the time of Seals Registration you can order all the gear, uniforms and apparel your child will need for the season. You will be able to pay in one lump sum payment or in monthly installment payments.

Training for the spring season will start during mid-February. Days and times will be finalized once rosters are closed and we know how many teams we have. We will generally have 2 practices per week.

There will be Opening Ceremonies the week before our first game, which must be well attended or we will lose points in the standings.

Parent Meetings
There are a couple dates during the season when there will be Parent Meetings for the league. Each team in the league must have a parent representative present. Any team that is not represented will lose points in the standings. These meetings are informational and are a forum for parents to voice concerns, suggestions, etc., in order to improve the league. Exact dates are TBD.

The roster will consist of 14-16 players. More than 16 will not be added to a roster in order to ensure each child will get plenty of playing time.

With a combined 30+ years of coaching experience, the Seals coaching staff is experienced and caring and will guide your child's development as a soccer player and a person. As the Director of Coaching, Shane Watkins is involved with the development of every player. All our staff and coaches are versed in the same philosophy of development and will serve your child well on and off the field.
